Mum’s Place - Great Catering of Local Dishes
Another GREAT DISCOVERY for mankind! Since we all love food in Malaysia we share our resources through recommendation and I cannot rate this place high enough! Let’s share our food network!
Apparently it is frequented by Tan Sri’s, Datuks, movie stars and even the new Prime Minister himself, Najib. Since this place had such a great reputation among my group of food fanatics I could always rely on my cousin, Peter Douglas to pull through with his recommendations.
It was for my father’s 60th and I was in need of a caterer. We were looking for local foods that everyone will enjoy yet it had to be as good as served a la carte since most catering come in buffet style.
It didn’t come better than ” Mum’s Place “. A the name reflects some kind of home cooked food however when I visited the place in Damansara Perdana ( past Ikea ), it was nothing of he sort. I thought it might be a family owned eatery with a long established reputation for it’s dishes and boy was I mistaken.
It was a double or triple shop lot restaurant with its own catering menu all prepared in one section of the place for you to sit down and make your choices.
It was a highly luxuries eatery yet hidden in the maze of one way streets its reputation seems to have reached far sides of KL and the Klang Valley.
In the menu we had chicken curry, satay, ipoh kway teow soup, sambal prawns, and more…
